When I started BL Health & Performance, my vision was to create an all-in-one space where people could find comprehensive support for their health and performance goals. That’s why I developed the C.A.R.E™ Program—Corrective and Restorative Exercise™—designed to help restore mobility, stability, and strength, so the body functions optimally for life.
The foundation of this program is simple yet powerful: treat the cause to relieve the symptoms. True change starts with taking that first step because no one else can do it for us.
The C.A.R.E™ Program
This program is built on three primary components:
1. Corrective:
- Utilizing tools like NeuroKinetic Therapy® (NKT) for muscle testing, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) for pain-related movement assessment, and Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to identify asymmetries and dysfunction.
- These assessments allow me to pinpoint the root cause of issues.
2. Restorative:
- Applying specialized tissue treatments such as Active Release Techniques® (ART), Deep Tissue Massage, and other modalities to address restrictions and improve tissue quality.
3. Exercise:
- Prescribing tailored corrective exercises to retrain muscles, ensuring they function efficiently and support proper movement patterns.
Why the C.A.R.E™ Program Works
This program is designed to alleviate and prevent injuries caused by trauma, repetitive motion, overuse, sedentary living, or improper movement. It helps the body return to a balanced and functional state, making it resilient for sports, work, or everyday life.
Benefits of the Program
- Enhanced range of motion, sensory perception, and motor control.
- Improved movement efficiency, leading to better performance and less strain.
- A possible alternative to invasive treatments, such as surgery, by addressing fascial restrictions and improving neuromuscular function.
- Improved balance, poise, and overall well-being.
- Support for emotional release and psychological integration, fostering holistic healing.
